About Me
As a BABCP accredited private CBT therapist, I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR from a number of clinics in and around the Warwickshire area. My main office is based in Edgbaston, although I also work from Satellite clinics in Honiley (Kenilworth), Southam, Bromsgrove and also in Burton Upon Trent.
I began my career within the field of emotional well-being and mental health in 1984 when I commenced my psychiatric nurse training in Derby. Back then it was simply Behaviour Therapy and the Cognitive part wasn’t readily practiced. Since then, I have had over 30 years experience of assisting people to overcome a vast range of emotional problems from psychosis to the anxiety disorders.
During this time I also gained extensive experience within the private health care sector as a senior manager, and developed the skill-set and knowledge-base required to offer CBT services to business and industry.

Over the years, I have worked with a multitude of clients, which has provided me with an insight and a practical view of the multitude of problems we as people face in everyday life. Whether it be depression due to life’s difficulties or anxieties, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder, hyperactivity, sexual dysfunction, loss of job, or any other issues that are affecting emotional well-being.
I am very proud to have successfully undertaken a rigorous and internationally renowned training programme over three years duration at the University of Derby to acquire the necessary skills to become accredited with the BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. The pinnacle of this training was achieving a distinction at MSc.

I have professional indemnity insurance and advanced DBS clearance to work with children and vulnerable adults. I ensure my practice is guided by regular supervision with another BABCP accredited therapist, and I ensure I am up to date in terms of professional development. At all times I ensure I abide by the standards of conduct, performance and ethics in the practice of behavioural and cognitive psychotherapies set out by the BABCP.
In relation to my experience in private practice, I have worked independently of the NHS since 1990, and formed by company INTEGRITY CBT LTD in 2014 to meet the growing need for CBT provision in the locality. As part of my commitment to independent practice, I am also Chair of the BABCP Independent Practitioners Special Interest Group (IPSIG).
